Grading

From white belt to Shihan.

Ten kyu grades carry you from white to brown. Dan grades carry you from Shodan to grandmaster. Every examination follows the formal Shotokan syllabus of the Tiger Lee lineage.

Kyu — Coloured Belts
10th Kyu — White ₹500

Gradings are held quarterly at the hombu dojo and by video submission through the Online University. Dan examinations are conducted personally under the authority of Shihan Pramod Kumar Pathak.

A belt is earned, never given.

Time in grade
Minimum training periods apply between every examination — there is no accelerated path.

Full syllabus
Every grading re-examines all previous material. A brown belt must still own their white-belt basics.

Character counts
Attendance, etiquette and conduct in the dojo weigh as much as technique on grading day.
