The Philosophy and Mindset of Karate Rei (礼) - Respect: Bowing to show respect to the dojo, instructors, and fellow practitioners. Emphasizes humility, discipline, and the proper attitude in training. Zanshin (残心) - Awareness: A state of continued alertness and readiness, maintaining focus even after executing a technique. Essential for both self-defense and overall mindfulness in practice. Mushin (無心) - No Mind: A mental state of being free from distractions and conscious thought, allowing for fluid and intuitive movements. Achieved through dedicated practice and mental discipline.
